Rooms were newly renovated and very clean. The location right on the boardwalk is perfect for beach access. Parking can be challenging with no elevators, making it tough to carry bags up the stairs. a nice stay!

Cleanliness is commendable, and the beds are phenomenally comfortable. not all was perfect. The shower design is flawed; water spills onto the floor. Room noise was bothersome due to nearby AC units. There's a lack of early check-in and room cleaning, which could deter future visits. The absence of elevator access in the parking garage poses significant challenges. This hotel is a solid choice for a beach getaway, balancing comfort and convenience, though improvements in room features and service consistency are needed for a seamless stay. Would return, but with key expectations.

The room was small but modern, featuring super comfy beds that made for restful nights. Temperature control worked well, but the air could be improved. The oceanfront view was stunning, though the small balcony barely accommodated the chairs. Housekeeping was inconsistent; the room was clean upon arrival, but our towels were not delivered as promised. While staff was generally friendly and helpful, early check-in was not available. The indoor pool could use better maintenance, as it had floating debris during our visit.

The view from the room is stunning, you can see both the ocean and the bay. The staff are absolutely wonderful and keep the place clean and tidy every day.
The parking garage is small and cramped.

Check-in was a breeze, and my room was super clean with a great ocean view! I enjoyed tasty breakfast at the on-site restaurant while soaking in the beach vibes. Plus, the rocking chairs by the pool were perfect for relaxing after a fun day in the sun.

Our room had this awful musty smell, and I even found dirt around the shower—gross! The shower was tiny, and water leaked everywhere.

I went wild at Jolly Roger's! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Brother's were top-notch. Boardwalk location was perfect. The beach right there was the cherry on top! Relaxed in the pool and Jacuzzi, and felt like a VIP with the concierge service.
Wow, rusty towels next time, please.

Great trip with friends, had a blast at the beach and tried thrilling water sports. Perfect spot for fishing charters too! Awesome memories made at the hotel.
Wish there was a livelier nightlife scene near the hotel for young party-goers.

During my stay over Christmas, I appreciated the fantastic restaurant and friendly staff. The convenient parking garage made unloading easy and the location close to popular stores and restaurants on 12th street was a great perk. The comfy chairs on the balcony provided amazing views of the surroundings.
The stay was not without its issues. The presence of noisy guests, smoking on balconies, and monopolizing the hot tub made for a less than relaxing experience.

we had a great time staying at Howard Johnson. the morning receptionist, Ashley, was exceptional, providing us with directions and helpful answers to our questions. the rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the bathrooms were awesome! the staff was friendly and attentive, and we especially appreciated the complimentary parking. the housekeeping staff were great, readily providing extra towels and washcloths. the location was perfect, right on the beach, with a private parking deck for hotel guests. the beach was lovely and there were restaurants and ice cream shops nearby. our room had a great view of the ocean and bay, and the beds were comfortable and the room was quiet.

The property is perfectly located on the Boardwalk with a breathtaking sunrise view from the balcony. Comfy bed, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Easy access to beach and city center.

The room we got was clean and spacious, and the view from the balcony overlooking the beach was perfect. We really enjoyed the comfortable beds and the deep bathtub in the bathroom. The bathroom tile was also very nice. there were a few things that didn't quite meet our expectations. The parking garage situation was quite challenging. There was no elevator in the garage, and we had to park on the 4th level on the first day, making it difficult for us, especially considering our age. Maneuvering the drapes to access the balcony door was also a bit tricky. Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn't working properly during our stay, which was a disappointment as we were looking forward to using it. We also found it frustrating that we could only get an extra hour for a late checkout, despite requesting a later checkout in the past. Despite these drawbacks, the room itself was nice and had a flat-screen TV. we did experience some issues with the air conditioning not functioning correctly, and the sheets smelled like sweat, which was unpleasant. we had a rude phone call from the front desk regarding our late checkout request, which was unnecessary. In terms of amenities, ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, and free toiletries were provided, which was a nice touch. The hotel also had an AM/FM alarm clock for convenience.

Enjoy easy access to water sports, fishing charters, and the sandy beach. The hotel offers a friendly staff, clean rooms, and lovely views, ensuring a wonderful stay for the whole family.
My wife says that the hotel could benefit from adding more kids' activities.

howard johnson's room was super clean and had a stellar ocean view. it's in a great spot - close to the beach and downtown. we loved the food at brothers bistro, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. they even had movie nights for the kids!

The hotel's prime location on the boardwalk offers easy access to the beach and a restaurant inside the premises. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, providing daily room cleaning upon request and ensuring fresh towels and bed sheets regularly.
The rooms were smaller than expected, making movement challenging, especially with limited space and a problematic balcony door. the strong smell of marijuana from neighboring balconies, despite a no-smoking policy, was a significant downside.

We were pleasantly surprised with an early check-in and a clean room upon arrival at Howard Johnson. The beach view was amazing and we can't wait to stay again soon. We were greeted with a very nice room, all thanks to the accommodating staff!

I had my heart set on visiting Ocean City Boardwalk, and choosing Howard Johnson for its proximity was the perfect decision. The customer service was exceptional, and the Brother's Bistro Restaurant & Lounge offered breathtaking ocean views, adding to the charm of the experience. Plus, the on-site dining, bicycle rentals, and free WiFi made my stay even more convenient.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel! The room and entire building were spotlessly clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, allowing us to have a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring the boardwalk. The indoor pool was a huge plus, especially on bad weather days. The convenient parking made it easy for us to come and go as we pleased. it was a great experience for young families like us.
The only minor issue we encountered was the small size of the bathroom and the non-functioning exhaust fan. It would have been nice to have a longer-lasting supply of hot water, especially with four people sharing the room.
